Mental Skills Coaching

We know student-athletes.

We get it. "It" being the balancing act of school, sport, social lives, and sleep.

The demands of competing in your sport at a high level.

Striving to do well in everything, all of the time.

Feeling like you're not enough, like you're falling short of expectations.

Like you're missing out.

We know that being a student-athlete can be challenging and time-consuming. It can also be one of the most rewarding things you do. We can help turn the bad to good, and the good to great.

For over 12 years, we've helped young high achievers learn valuable, action-oriented mental skills and apply them to their sport, school work, standardized testing, and other parts of their lives.

Student-athletes often come to us with doubts, nerves, and stress. They may have tried a few mental tips and tricks that they've heard about, but nothing seems to stick. They're not performing to their potential, they are often concerned about outcomes and their future, and they're not as happy in their sport as they once were.

Through working with us, student-athletes learn to step into their authentic, happy, capable selves. They perform better in their sport and in school. They learn skills to understand themselves and take care of themselves. They gain independence by learning to reflect and make adjustments to keep chasing their dreams.

To ensure that we're a good fit before beginning sessions, we want to take time to connect with both the parent and the student-athlete individually. If we all agree that we'd like to work together, we'll share a mental coaching plan for you to review, including information on our packages, pricing, and steps to get started. All of our sessions are online via Google Meet.

Our highest performing clients leverage our expertise for 10 sessions over a few months, up to 30 sessions over a few years. Our goal is not to meet with student-athletes forever, but to teach and empower them to apply mental skills on their own.

Who is a good fit?

We specialize in supporting student-athletes who are:

  • in high school or college (ages 14-23)
  • swimmers, runners, and other individual sport athletes (e.g., golf, gymnastics, fencing, tennis, triathlon)
  • participating in their sport at a high level, and tend to be a high achiever
  • open to and interested in learning more about mental skills
  • committed to getting better as a person, student, and athlete
